Welcome

The saxophone has had a fruitful existence during the last century. Better known for its contribution to the jazz idiom, the saxophone is such a flexible instrument that it has found its way in multiple other styles. This site is my way of exploring these different mediums and hopefully get others interested in expanding their interest and research into this field.

This sites title is my expression of recognition of the influence of the two fathers of classical saxophone: Marcel Mule and Sigurd Rascher. These two masters were the pioneers who have influenced the use of the saxophone as a classical musical instrument. By their mastery of the instrument (both were virtuoso), their teaching and their commissioning efforts, they had set the stage for the development of the classical saxophone which is now in full blossom.

Hope you will find useful information on this site. Of course, any comments you may have will always be welcome.
