Japanese composer, Yoshihisa Hirano, has composed music for drama, dance, film, and radio in addition to instrumental works. He has studied composition at the Juillard School of Music with Stanley Wolfe and at the Eastman School of Music with Christopher Rouse and Joseph Schwantner. His many awards include First-Prize in New York's New Music for Young Ensembles Composers' Competition and the Grand-winner of the Axia Tape Competition for composers in Japan. |
