| Dr. Caroline Henderson is an Associate Professor of Music at Ouachita Baptist University. Active as both a performer and clinician, she has premiered works for saxophone at the 11th World Saxophone Congress held in Valencia, Spain and the 1994, 1996, and 1998 Biennial Conferences of the North American Saxophone Alliance. Additionally, she has performed or given presentations at the Annual Meeting of the College Music Society, the National Association of College Wind & Percussion Instructors National Symposium, several regional NASA conferences, and the Texas Music Educators Association Conference. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Saxophone Performance from the University of Georgia under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Fischer. Prior to her appointment at Ouachita University, Dr. Henderson served on the faculty of Eastern New Mexico University.
Dr. Kenneth Broadway is Director of Percussion Studies at the University of Florida. He and Dr. Caroline Henderson have performed together since 1997. In addition to performing at numerous regional conferences and recitals, they have performed at the 11th World Saxophone Congress and the 1998 Biennial Conference of the North American Saxophone Alliance. Both Dr. Caroline Henderson and Dr. Kenneth Broadway are Yamaha Performing Artists. |

| Dr. Budd Udell (b 1943), Professor of Composition at the University of Florida, has been commissioned by the performers to write a piece approximately ten minutes in length for alto saxophone, marimba, vibraphone, and snare drum. Dr. Udell's compositions for band, orchestra, choir, and chamber ensemble have been perfonned to high acclaim throughout the United States and in Europe. | |||||
