Andy Wen is an assistant professor at Millersville University, a Selmer Saxophone Clinician, and the Treasurer of the North American Saxophone Alliance. In conjunction with Master Classes at the Taiwan CuLtural and Taiwan Normal Universities, Andy presented the first saxophone recital in the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. He presented solo recitals at the Ninth and Eleventh World Saxophone Congresses in Kawasaki, Japan, and Valencia, Spain, respectively, and a quartet concert at the Ninth Congress. He was one of twelve Americans selected to present a lecture/recital at the Etats Generaux Mondiaux du Saxophone, held in Angers, France, in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the invention of the saxophone. Andy has performed solo recitals and presented master classes across the United States.

Andy was the 1990 MTNA-Wurlitzer National Collegiate Artist Competition national winner. As a soloist, Andy Wen has appeared with the Millersville University Symphonic Band and University Community Orchestra, Ohio University Symphony Orchestra, on tour with the University of Arkansas at Monticello Symphonic Band and at the American School Band Directors Association (ASBDA) National Convention where he prensered An Appeal Amid the Razing for Alto Saxophone and Band, by L.A. Logrande. This work was written for Andy Wen and the UAM Symphonic Band.

Andy Wen has been involved in the premieres of several works including those by Larry Bell, Sy Brandon, James Chaudoir, Fred Fox, Michel Fuste-Lambezat, John Harbison, Christian Lauba, L.A. Logrande, Kevin McKinney, Robert Newell, and many others. Several of these works were written for Andy Wen.

Andy Wen has received degrees while studying with Jean-Marie Londeix, Allyn Reilly, Eugene Rousseau, and Kenneth Fischer.

Sifting Civility for alto saxophone and clarinet/alto saxophone is being written specially for the 12th World Saxophone Congress in Montreal and will be a World Premiere.

Neo-Baroque Suite for alto saxophone and clarinet/alto saxophone is being written specially for the 12th World Saxophone Congress in Montreal and will be a World Premiere. While the movements will suggest form and meter, the language will be 20th century.
