American jazz saxophonist, multi-intrumentalist and composer. The instruments he uses include: alto sax, tenor sax, soprano sax, baritone sax, sopranino sax, baritone sax, piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinet, bamboo flute.
He was one of the mainstays of the Art Ensemble of Chicago and one of the first members of the non-profit organization Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM).
